Color changing LED lightboxes and accent lightingKCBS in Los Angeles debuted their new set on Monday July 25th 2016 at 5:00 PM. This is the first major change in almost ten years for the CBS owned and operated station. The new set includes a custom anchor desk with a large video wall in the background displaying scenic images as well as graphics. There is also a multi-purpose video wall for Sports and Special Reports.

The set features a large interview area with a background displaying iconic images and memorabilia of the rich history of KCBS. An on-air glassed-in green room next to the interview area allows shots into the studio as well.

The expansive weather center tops off the new design with color changing accents allowing this area to be used for more than just traffic and weather.
An 82” touch screen monitor becomes a main presentation source as well as a large vertical monitor for traffic or social media.
Overall the design is clean, versatile and contemporary with roots in the traditions of CBS broadcasting.
