Tim Saunders

President / Owner

26 years experience in set design, facilities planning and architectural design. Tim has designed over 1400 custom sets and almost 120 working newsrooms for American networks, and over 100 projects in International markets from Europe, Asia, South America to the Middle East. Winner of numerous Emmys and BDA / Promax awards, Tim has the talent and experience to create an environment that will exceed your expectations. Custom home design is one of Tim’s hobbies. He is a member of NATAS, BDA and RTNDA.


Caroline Aldridge

VP / COO / Project Coordinator

19+ years experience as the project manager for BDI. She works directly with clients in matters concerning logistics coordination, vendor item procurement and project scheduling of production and installation. Caroline will ensure your project is delivered on time and on budget…┬áno surprise!



George Edelmann

Senior Design Representative

Over 25 years experience in the fabrication, design and sales for the broadcast news industry. George has been a contractor as well as a set builder and has extensive background in commercial construction as well as scenic fabrication. He has worked with numerous clients around the globe and brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the team. He is a member of RTDNA.


Ed Luther

Drafting And Construction Manager

20+ years experience with BDI. He oversees production and all construction drawings, and liaisons with our custom scenic and furniture fabrication partners. Ed and his staff will ensure your environment is constructed with the high quality workmanship BDI and our clients expect.


Kris Cerola

Creative Director

BDI has recently added the extremely talented and experienced Kris Cerola to our Creative Team. He wields his sharpies in very expressive design concept sketches, as well as having advanced 3D computer modeling skills. His focus includes capturing the essence of a market and the strengths of the client, and integrating those into the studio set environment.

Kris spent 18 years working in the multidisciplinary world of exhibit design, creating meaningful brand centric experiences for a diverse range of clients for trade and auto shows, museums, corporate interiors and retail design. In addition to his vast experience in the exhibit industry he has worked as a finish carpenter in the fields of construction and furniture building for over 20 years. This hands on experience has equipped him with a working knowledge of the design process from concept to completion.

Senior Lighting Director

Emmy Award-Winning Lighting Designer and Director of Photography with 30+ years experience working in television, commercials and feature films. Nick is a tremendous resource for innovative and economically viable HD lighting solutions, including programmable LED RGB Lighting. His unique lighting designs and direction will make your HD studio set or newsroom come to life!


John Gates

Senior Lighting Director

John Gates is a 2 time Emmy Award-Winning Lighting Designer & Consultant with over thirty years of experience in helping clients around the world create attractive lighting for their television, film and special event projects. John extensively tests new lighting and camera technology to ensure that his lighting designs are effective, creative and efficient.



Bill Holshevnikoff

Senior Lighting Director

An Emmy-winning Lighting Designer, Director of Photography and educator, Holshevnikoff has been lighting and shooting broadcast, corporate and documentary programming for over 30 years. He has created stunning lighting and imagery for clients such as Ritz-Carlton, Marriott Resorts, ESPN, CNN, National Geographic, Four Seasons, Mercedes-Benz, Infinity and for numerous television networks throughout the world.
